Ramadan Arabian Nights 2021 : Tale of King Mahorab “The Copper lion” Ep.26

Here we are on the 26th night of our Radio Arabian Nights this year.
We will continue our tale for this year, the tale of King Mahorab
First of all, You can refresh your mind with what happened last night here.

It is the 26th episode in our tale and the 548th night of our Egyptian Radio show.

Yakut goes to the castle’s staircase, he takes a cautious move on the first step on the staircase then moves back as he hears fainted sound.

He inspects the first staircase and finds out that it is connected with hidden string to the copper lion.


He decides to walk on the stairs in the same way the maiden walked, taking one step and skipping the other. He reaches the top and the mechanized copper lion does not move it.

Prince Yakut succeeds he can’t find a door for the castle and instead, he finds a gap in the castle wall hidden with a rope which he pulls and suddenly a wall of the castle and he goes inside. 

He finds Princess Naderhan inside telling him she is happy it was him because she liked him after seeing him in the procession.

Yakut tells Naderhan that he is the son of King Mahorab of Serendib and the Princess tells him not to tell her dad. It turns out that Naderhan’s father is King Mahan, King Mahorab’s cousin who is not on good terms with him.

Yakut does not fear and asks the Princess for proof to present to her father that he reached her at the castle

He goes to King Mahan’s court and he meets the King to present the princess’ ring so he can ask her hand in marriage.

At first, the King approves the marriage but then he is shocked to know that in front of him the son of King Mahorab but Yakut defends his right to marry the princess, his only child eloquently.

He tells Mahan that instead of being enemies, they should stand united against the Khagan.

The boldness and strength of Yakut impress Mahan and he decides to give him his only daughter’s hand in marriage but first, he asks him why he wears red and he tells it is the colour of strength and power.

Yakut stays in the Kingdom till the time comes to wait for his brothers and return back home.

Tomorrow inshallah we will know what happens to Yakut and his brothers in their journey now.
