Follow Up : A Day For Tal in Cairo And The Cyber World

Yesterday was Tal’s day in Cairo, the freedom committee held a stand in front of the syndication of journalists in Cairo in solidarity with Tal. The event was organized and headed by Egyptian journalist and political activist Mohamed Abdel Qudos whose anti-Mubarak and anti-Zionist views and activities are well known to everybody. 

So it would be ridiculous for any Syrian regime media to accuse him or the participants of implementing some sort of Western agenda to blackmail Syria !!

Meanwhile, in the cyber world,d Arab tweeps held a special virtual protest event for her trying to make the world interested in her case.

By the way according to the Sooryoon.net website, the Syrian state security may have been pushing and forcing Tal’s father to approve the dirty charge the regime there is trying to stain Tal with. Of course, her family is being blackmailed by that regime and of course,e they will accept any terms for the sake of their child.

Also, I found out that there is a suspicion in Syria that the Syrian Observatory human rights website could be following the regime. It is not that independent so we should be careful while reading it.

For The Sake of Egypt Publish Dr. Al Awa’s Op-Ed

Al Masry Al Youm Daily did not publish the second part of Dr. Al Awa’s op-ed  which was about the recent sectarian tension which he was accused of enlarging it. The first part of the Op-ed came right after his interview in Dream TV and many people welcomed it.

Al Masry Al Youm justified this strange action in statement claiming that Dr. Al Awa in his 2nd op-ed exceeded the agreed space and that due to the many reactions the first part generated from both sides , it was for the sake of Egypt , for the sake of our national unity the administration has decided not to publish the 2nd part of the Op-ed !!

This is confusing and it puts the famous newspaper in a very bad position because of the following reasons in my opinion :

1. Starting with the title of the newspaper’s justification “For Egypt and not For Al Masry Al Youm”  , it does not make sense because the first reason was not about Egypt but about the space available for Al Awa in the Op-ed’s page !!
2. Did not Al Masry Al Youm expect that Al Awa’s op-eds would generate huge reactions from both sides !!?? It is naïve not to think.
3. Is the space or is it the Egyptian unity for God sake !!??

The decision has already created anger between the readers of the newspaper. Egyptian Writer Balal Fadl has decided not to write in Al Masry in solidarity with Al Awa in one of the strongest reactions in the media. Wael Kandel also tackled the matter in his daily column at Al Shorouk daily and tomorrow Al Dostor daily is going to published that op-ed.

Now here is what Dr. Al Awa wrote :

• The Church and the nation “Part 1”
• The Church and the nation “ Part 2” ----> He published it in his official website

If you find something  more dangerous than what was said in the past two weeks please tell me.

This decision did more harm to our Egyptian unity than Al Awa’s op-ed and the reactions it generated from both sides because now many Muslims believe that Naguib Sawiris who owns shares in the paper interfered to stop Al Awa’s op-eds. 

Al Masry Al Youm could have disabled the comments online and made the debate on its printed pages between the thinkers , intellectuals and church men speak up , it will not be worse than what the real radicals from both sides say.

The sectarianism ghost will not go away by fighting and throwing stones on Al Awa because the radicals from both sides are growing in strength. Yesterday there was big protest in Fatah mosque attacking the Church and Pope and there are calls for more protests next Friday too , it is unwise to keep our heads in the sand.

Regarding Tarek Abdel Ghafar

From couple of months ago we found a shocking news in the media :

The vice police arrests a famous cardiologist for soliciting prostitution in his clinic !!

Shocking headlines in all newspapers with even more shocking details on how that famous cardiologist who has an official position at the National heart institute ran that prostitution ring from his clinic at Dokki and how famous doctors were clients ..etc. The police reportedly found drugs and scandalous CDs filmed what was taking place in his clinic !!

I was quite disgusted and angry because that Doctor , Dr. Tarek Abdel Ghafar was the physician of my grandma’s sister who insisted that he was innocent “ because he is a respectable and honest man” as she described him. I honestly believe the Police because they will not go after a person in his position if there is no smoking gun , we are speaking about people’s reputation and the man had no political activity background that would make us suspect that that were fabricated charges but I was wrong.

The Old Mubarak’s Excuse

Joe Biden is known for his stupide useless remarks , they are his trademarks but honestly that Old Mubarak excuse is not that funny.

May be if Biden respected Mubarak for real , he would not use his name in that not so funny way. If the call was that important , he would not laugh about it to justify his tardiness

Osama Saraya And His Expressive Apology

Last Friday Yousri Fouda added something to his unique scoops like entering a Freemason lodge and his special trip in to the world of Al Qaida , he hosted Osama Saraya on air managing to get from him in the end some sort of apology on his expression art gaffe.

To all those who think that we made a mistake , I tell you that and promise that this will not happen again !!

Of course throughout the show the man insisted that the whole world is too damn stupid to understand the message behind this piece of art : Mubarak “or Egypt” leads the US and also the EU in the peace process !!!

Follow Up : Tal Is Alive

Believe or not I am glad that our campaign has reached to something , Tal’s news has made it to the Syria News website which is more official that DP News and she is alive thank God .
