Uri Milstein : Egyptian Army Won The War

Let the Israeli experts and sources speak themselves because I am tired from these fabrications

Uri Milstein , the famous Israeli military expert made an interview with radio New Jerusalem and Al Masry Al Youm has published it and according to his point of view we won the Yom Kippur war in 1973 regardless of the gap which he considers a desperate show move from the Israeli side to save the Israeli spirit , already from his view we won the war because we succeeded in achieving our goals .

For your information we could have put an end to the gap in 48 hours but we were waiting for Sadat’s order which for some reason did not come , may be Sadat thought that his victory could be in danger if the United States continued in its military supply to Israel , it is well known that the States supplied Israel crazily in that war which was also a war between the Soviet Union’s weaponry and the American weaponry.

Already I believe the gap attack which was planned and carried out by Ariel Sharon was more like a revenge issue between him and General Saad El-Din El-Shazly ,  El-Shazly was our Chief of Staff during the war and Sharon was egoistic who did not forget that El-Shazly managed to withdrawal with a whole battalion from the west bank back to Ismailia with no losses at all , in fact the Israelis were the one who were losing in front of him and that he was assigned by the IDF to hunt him down and his battalion but he was too late and too slow to catch with El-Shazly. Sharon is considered by many of those who served under him as an egoistic man who only cared for his personal glory. Many of the Israeli officers who were with him in the gap believed he was crazy and was gambling with the souls of the Israeli soldiers under his command. Ironically Sharon could have been killed by an Egyptian sniper called  Abdel Razak Nasr El-Din Shahat who had a golden opportunity to do a favor for humanity for once and for all ; Shahat asked the permission of his commander to shot down Sharon but the later ordered him to respect the cease fire order “which was already on” ; strangely after the departure of Sharon , the Israelis as usual did not give a damn for the cease fire order and opened their fires. Shahat opened his eyes and fires too killing in small fight 6 Israelis and injuring 7 ; man I wish he had killed Ariel Sharon !!

Anyhow back Milstein , his interview seems interesting , I am searching for its English script online . Milstein accused the IDF of refusing to admit the defeat and to hide all the documents related to the war and this made Israel repeats its same mistakes in the wars followed 1973 in Lebanon or in Gaza.

Milstein revealed that on the third day of the war , on the 8th of October Moshe Dayan gathered all the reporters to announce the defeat of Israel but Golda Mier gave her orders to the Chief in editors in Israel to hide the truth from the public. I find it so ironic that the Israeli regime back them lied on the Israeli people in the same way Nasser regime lied on us in the six days wars in the beginning.

  1. That's why I like Jews, they placed flag in Africa in a war with population ratio about 1:20 and yet there will be always enough people to criticize it and looking for own mistakes.

btw year ago about the Golda's decisions has been posted a nice article on Times, dunno if you read it (works only in IE here)

  2. and why they placed a flag in Africa and why they take Sinai and it is not yours in the first place while they knew that Nasser was bluffer from the first degree and then demand Peace and why they failed in achieving their military goals in the Chinese farm operations , they did not manage to invade Suez or Ismailia which met them with heroic resistance , they were killed and injured and for what to keep that pseudo image of the invincible army !!
Golda was like a mad woman trying to save herself and her cabinet
I am not expecting for someone defending the British occupation to understand what I am saying

  3. for someone defending the British occupation
I've never defended the British occupation nor the British colonization ... I was just comparing it to another colonizator - Ali Pasha

I could not be happy more if there were no colonization or western interference to Islam world (Afganistan/Iraq)

    And so?

Well it was Israelis who controlled Cairo road and were going to shell Cairo as they did it few days ago with Damascus, the image of Sadat would be terribly hit - "we are wining, but they shell Cairo^^"? A woman can never defeat a man in today Arab world, Golda did.
