Reason and logic say that if you have no unemployment then you should open your door for imported employment ,this is what Reason and logic say
But if you are in a country with the highest unemployment rate in the region that exceeds every year and with a trouble economic situation you should do not go for the imported employment
of course again this is what the Reason and logic say but because now in Egypt it seems Reason and logic are in vacation especially when it comes to economy
And that's why :
- There is Indian and Bengal Employment in Port Said in the free zone working in the textile factories ,working beside the Egyptian workers taking higher wages than them with no different what so ever in their production
- There are Italian workers in Mohendessin putting the shops signs now !!??
I understand why we accept the existence of white collar imported employment , in fact we need it in certain fields
BUT Imported Blue collars ?? what is wrong with this country !!??
I mean the available cheap skillful Blue Collars in Egypt makes it an attractive place for investment !!??
Some will say that the foreign employment blue collars are more skillful , sorry this is no excuse , you can train the Egyptian blue collar and have excellent product
and not say that they are more cheaper because they are more expensive
It is unfair to give the opportunity of work to a foreigner where as you leave the Egyptian without a job starving ,leaving him for nothing except either to crime or to sell this organs
Do not complain afterwards that the rates of crime reaches to the sky !!
Do not complain afterwards that the Egyptian blue collars are selling their organs !!
Do not complain afterwards that there is terrorism in Egypt !!
Strangely I remember that President Mubarak promised in his presidential program that the job opportunities for the blue collars would exceed !! May be he was referring to the Blue collars from abroad !!
Zeinobial:
ReplyDeleteBlue Color workers in the west , particularly in North America obtain and maintain the rights and strength through affiliation with strong unions (example: Auto- workers). If the system in Egypt (even superficially)maintain freedom , workers should ask for it and push and push untill the system is embarassed to hide thereality. Even white color workers like Teachers and Doctors they benefit from strong association. May be I am dreaming speaking from long distance of the ugly reality in Egypt, I guess dreams don't hurt ro would they!!
That situation happens all over the world because we live in a globalised world and people are in title to look for their survival in other countries !
ReplyDeleteYes when you think logically, it is wrong to hire people from outside but did you know that those people from India and bengal they willing to work long hours and hardworking and with good skill and willing to learn unlike the Egyptians! The Egyptians didnt want to work in factory and only want 8 hours shift and working slowly, smoking and taking holidays or sick leave anytime they liked! In fact on Beit El Bentak programmes, the factories in Egypt needed about 150,000 skill and average labour workers and only 5,000 Egyptians came forward for the job.
ReplyDeleteOne thing about Egyptians, they think when they have degree or bachelor, so the job expected should be according to their standard or qualifications. They refuse to work with lower job or payments. They rather sit at coffee shops or at home waiting for desk job! So many of them out there! So we should blame who? Blame the Egyptians!
@anonymous so you think that we should not hire the Egyptian employment at all because they are lazy !!?? Do you think that this bringing out employment will solve our problems
ReplyDeleteI got what you are saying but I am sorry to tell you that there are graduates from the faculty of Economics and political Science Cairo university who work as delivery men , there are lawyers who are working in plumbing ,I do not know what you mean that we do not deserve a Bachelor degree !!??
