These things I forgot to cover in my blog last week thanks to the strike and Mahalla events, I did not imagine things would take this turn.
- A 19 years old Mohammed from Bahaira died from Bird Flu H5N1 to become the 21 victim I think who died from this virus, it is interesting that he is a young man not a child nor a woman, he was transferred to Alexandria to receive treatment, he was given Tamflu but it was either too late or the virus formed a resistance against it.
- The Very few newspapers talked about it first then forgot about it thanks to the events of the week and yesterday independent MP Gamal Zahran requested an inquiry about it : The visit of Gamal Mubarak to the Special Operation Forces Exhibition and Conference "SOFEX" in Jordan on the 1st of April 2008
The visit could have been a secret one; unfortunately the AFP took some shots for GM with Prince Faisal of Jordan "He changed so much, he used to be more handsome than this"
May I ask why Gamal Mubarak went to visit this specialized conference and exhibit for Special Forces and homeland security, already this man unlike Prince Faisal of Jordan did not spend one day in the army, he lacks any military knowledge or experience.
Another thing I do not know what is his character or title to make that gives him the right to go and visit such important conference and to be treated like a VIP “he was accompanied by the King’s brother”!!??
Officially he is only the head of the policies committee and secretary of the NDP, being a member in the NDP is not giving him the right to attend such important conference, he is not a member in the Cabinet.
I expect someone like late Ashraf Marwan to attend such event but not Gamal Mubarak, in fact I think that it is just another desperate move from him to gain some military experience, GM knows that it is hard to be a civilian President with a Zero military experience!!
