I think no one imagined things would be go this route in Beirut ,in today's labour strike and protest except of course who planned to make this way . I mean it is a decision taken in the moment to bring your weapons and start attacking the others in the protests or strike just like this , especially when it involves guns, rifles,Molotov and RBG !!No to mention the army presence !!
It is more than usual riots of angry blue collars for sure and because it is Lebanon you should know that this is another round between the on going the opposition and the cabinet. It took an ugly form that reminded the people of Beirut with the civil war ,I know a friend of a friend who told her online that she hided in her bathroom along with her kids when she saw the two fighting parties with big guns in the street, It is enough to see the images to make you feel that you are back again In Beirut of the civil war .
Fires every where , the way to the airport was closed and cut , the scene of young civilians covered their faces with Palestinian head scarf , the spirit of the 1970s are back folks
The civil war which many want to take place again in Lebanon on the top of the list is Israel , what would be better from getting rid of Hezbollah Power except through a civil war , at least no Israeli would harm , of course I do not imply that Israel has to do with anything that happened today despite the fact that the allies of Israel in Lebanon have hand in what happened , in fact they are part of it.
I do not know why I have this crazy idea , yes the elements of Amal and Hezbollah had their share in the fight of today but the timing is very interesting because I do not think that Hezbollah,Amal and the free Patriotic coalition wanted this day to be like , all the three forces that form the Lebanese current opposition accused of being backed up by Syria and Iran sponsored that strike wanted a peaceful as far as I understand , because it does not make any sense to have this where as Hassan Nasrallah is going to speak publicly in a press conference tomorrow.
Nasrallah is going to comment about the accusation of spying on the airport and the escalation of the government against the resistance and its security precautions in Beirut ,already I will discuss these allegations later.
Again to my crazy idea as I was saying the opposition and the labour unions did not want this day to be like this but as in Mahalla the government or the 14th of March may send its thugs and elements to the streets opening their fires especially on Amal and Hezbollah elements who will not sit like this without going back to their leaders , they are young men , blue collars who can't accept living in hard conditions , the least provocation !!
Yes both sides got their weapons out of the closets but who pushed who and for what ??
The 14th of March is trying to provoke Hezbollah more and more to the level that it would go to civil war , Hezbollah is trying not to be pushed to this level ,because already its partner had their share from the civil war especially Amal "They were in the camera spot today"
You must know something that the Labours in Lebanon are complaining from the low minimum wages just like in Egypt and right after the Mahalla strike ,this strike was announced
