Th 14th of February Movement is an Egyptian movement , it is not affiliated Lebanese movement , do not get confused with the 14th of February or 14th of March in Lebanon.
The 14th February Movement is an independent Egyptian movement that chose the valentine day 09 to announce its existence to the whole world. You can read more about this movement here. This movement is made to spread the love of Egypt , Egypt is above all,..etc
They surprised us all with their peaceful stand on last 14th of February in the Tahrir Square ,yes they stood the Tahrir Square with Egyptian flags and red roses.
They repeated their stand last Friday the 27th of February 09 in Al Hussein Square to show their condemn and refusal to the terrorist attack.
With my all respect to the good intentions of its founders and members , but is not it strange that the interior ministry refuses to grant the permission to all the peaceful stands and crack them by force and let them do protests and stands whenever they like !! Do you remember the disastrous March to Gaza that ended by the arrest of two bloggers : Philip and Diaa, Philip is released where as Diaa is still facing the unknown.
Again I respect them and I hope they will be truly represent what they are using and not to turn some kind of NDP media bubble to attack other movements like Kafya , I won’t be surprised if next 6th April if the 6th April and Kafya movements call for another strike and this movement stands against them, seriously.
You know what bugs about this group !!?? They chose the 14th of February as their name to prove the love of Egypt where as they neglected the real Love Day in Egypt “The 4th of November”. The valentine day is lovers and couples day where the 4th of November , our National day of love was and is more general , it is day of love in everything , the love of country ,the love of your God , the love of your other half ,your family…etc. This day was invented by a great Egyptian icon , speaking about icons in their websites !!
If they are really so into Egypt and the Egyptians , they would have chosen that day not the February 14th !!!
