Breaking News : Rockets Hit Eilat and Akaba

Eilat in Israel and Akaba have been hit by rockets in the morning and currently all the accusations fingers are pointing to Egypt , to Sinai to be specific.
There are no causalities in reported in Israel yet there were 4 injured in Akaba as the rocket there hit the entrance of intercontinental hotel at Akaba. "One person has just died from his wounds"
Currently there are unofficial news that MOI is doing a full scale search across Sinai , which means a new chapter of bad relations with the locals and a new crusade against human rights there. I can imagine the MOI will put the blame on the Laavi group.
This is the second time it happens and it happens right after the visit of the Israeli president to Cairo and his meeting with President Mubarak. The news itself absurd knowing how strong the relations between Cairo and Tel Aviv.
The story is developing and my condolences to that Jordanian man's family and friends.
By the way Officially Egypt is denying that the rockets were launched from our territories , Daily TV show Misr El-Nahrada has asked its viewers on twitter why on earth Israel would accuse us such dangerous accusation !!
Update :

  1. Egypt is insisting that there was nothing launched from Taba or any surrounding areas after tight search.
  2. Israel has claimed that there was an explosion in Sinai yet the Egyptian authorities are denying this
  3. Unofficially the Jordanian authorities say that the rockets came from Egypt.

  1. Would you give your condolences if an Israeli died?

Nothing gives me more pleasure than to see Muslims trying to kill Jews but kill Muslims instead :)

If you Egyptians don't stop shooting rockets at us Israelis, like you did in April (and you can deny this all you want), we'll just have to retake Sinai and take out the terrorists there since the Egyptian officials seem impotenet.

All this is just more proof that Israel made a big mistake in giving Sinai to Egypt. Every territory Israel gives to Muslims becomes a terror base, like S. Lebanon, Sinai and Gaza. The WB will probably become a terror base too once Israel leaves.

Nice blog you got here, btw.

  3. @Angry Israeli: Ladies and gentlemen, now do you see the type of idiots you plagued the Middle East with.
Youve been living among us for how many years now, granted on stolen lands but havent u heard that we in MENA are not only Muslims?!!! Or are your words a reflection for how those who support this illegal entity of Israel and find it alright to live on top of the lands, homes, and lives of others, see this whole issue as Jews v. Muslims?!!!
No, we wont mourn any Israeli killed, you came over from all corners of the World to take something that wasnt yours. You brought misery and hate to our region and continue to do so. You can try and take Sinai again or any other land, its well known thats what you dream about, but while you are submersed in your dreams of controlling us and bringing more destruction do not forget that you were kicked out before and will be kicked out once more, happened in Sinai, happened in Lebanon and will happen eventually in Palestine and Syria.
Last but not least, Eilat is the Egyptian Oum Al Rishrash so, its actually occupied and I do hope those rockets did come from Sinai, tells u how this peace you have is with politicians and not with the ppl who will never accept you as long as you keep on refusing to return whats not urz to its rightful owners.

  5. As a Canadian I am amazed at the amount of hatred between Israelis and Arabs.
I hope that both sides will eventually realize that hatred and war never solved anything in history.
Gandhi neutralized the British empire through pacifism.
Mandela isolated and neutralized apartheid by pacifism.
World support will go to those who adopt the pacifist approach but unfortunately neither party see that right now.
Maybe when all the instruments of hatred have been exhausted, logic may prevail.

  6. @ Zeinobia,
You're right it won't be like 1967 - it will be much quicker and more painful. :)

    @ Jason,
Have no idea what you're trying to say.

    @Anonymous,
You're living in dream land if you think Arabs can or even want to live in peace with anyone who's not Arab or Muslim. They can't even get along with themselves.

Now you know how the Sudanese feel about the illegal military occupation of Halayeb by President Mubarak's decree since the mid-90's.

  10. @Canadian Anon: correction, we do not hate them we hate occupation and those who support it by any means. Just like we never hated the Brits or the French but we hated that they were occupying us. I wish those from the outside realize how we feel about this whole issue. We didnt lead Jews down the burners and generally MENA was home to a mixture of the followers of the 3 religion. How would u feel if while you were trying to gain ur independence your own country got flooded with illegal immigrants who later on formed military gangs and started attacking the original inhabitants? Why no one ever paid attention to how the formation of this weird and criminal entity caused a rift in the divers and generally accepting fragment of citizens in MENA?
Its not hateful to say, we do not believe in the right on Israel to exist as a country made on top of another country and at the expense of the sufferings of others. It is not hatred towards Jews when we say we hate Zionism and its a racist movement, that despises us the original inhabitants of the region. Its not hatred when we state facts of how many have lost their lives, farms, homes ect to strangers. What is real hatred is when those who could help, turn a blind eye. This Palestinian issue could have been resolved years ago if only the West decided to be fair to us. But countries, including your own havent been fair.
World support should go with the original inhabitants and only then a period of forgiving and healing could start, only then a solution could be worked out for the original inhabitants to accept those who were the off springs of this occupation and when a country at a place holy to all 3 religions wont be identified as belonging to one that acts as if its above all and that country is Palestine not Israel.

"Have no idea what you're trying to say." Your line "Nice blog you got here, btw" reminded me of a Monty Python skit.

Colonel: Good morning gentlemen. Now what can I do for you.
Luigi: (looking round office casually) You've ... you've got a nice army base here, Colonel.
    Colonel: Yes.
Luigi: We wouldn't want anything to happen to it.

The relevant part is at 2:00 in this video: Army Protection Racket.

I agree with what you said.An Israeli will also give us an agreeable argument too.
My point is very simple; The country that adopts a peaceful and non-threatening stance will win world support and will come out victorious.
Right now world opinion is beginning to shift towards the Palestinians as they are being viewed as victims while Israel is being viewed as oppressors. If the Palestinians continue their non-terrorist approach, I assure you they can achieve a lot more in gaining their rights and establishing their homeland.

  15. Canadian:"If the Palestinians continue their non-terrorist approach..."

Are you for real man? The Palestinian Hamas has shot rockets on Israel from Gaza and Sinai and you call this a "non-terrorist aprouch"? You must be insane! Not to mention that the PLO's charter calls for the destruction of Israel, while Hamas' charter also calls for the extermination of ALL Jews.

Please realize that your Likud and ultra-rightist political parties are helping world opinion to turn against Israel. Antisemitism is on the rise worldwide and will get worse if this conflict continues on without a solution.
The Labor party should follow in Rabin's footsteps before the ex. Soviet/Russian Jews hijack the peace movement away from the Israeli people. If this conflict is not resolved soon, the Arab Israelis by their sheer numbers will become a major political power in the near future causing major changes in the political landscape of Israel.
    The Canadian.

  17. @ Canadian: and why would u have a problem with better representation of Arab Israelis and a potential shift from the filthy Israel state of Jews are superior to all to a Palestine for all 3 faiths which is how it shouldve been in the first place?
Israel is running down the path of its own destruction and they are not even realizing it :D
