From 20 years ago , this video made history in the Middle East

On that day from 20 years ago, a photographer caught on camera a crime against humanity and it changed the world as we know it.

A freelance photographer and videographer caught in Gaza how the Israeli occupation forces opened their fire on a civilian and his son killing the 12-years-old boy despite the pleas of his father.

Freelance reporter caught Talal Abu Rahma those 26 minutes and were first aired on France 2 , the rest was history.

Despite Israeli occupation forces admitted at first that their soldiers opened the fire by and apologized for it , some Israeli media outlets had the audacity to claim that Mohamed El-Dorra were still alive which is untrue.

Mohamed El-Dorra passed away and was buried. It is a fact.

That moment of Mohamed El-Dora and his father was among the early moments that paved the way to the so-called of the Arab Spring and the 25 January revolution in 2011. It was the moment that made many young people then interested in politics and followed the news of the Intifada at an early age.

Yes, Egypt was already having protests in support of the Second Intifada that erupted due to the provoking visit of Ariel Sharon to Al-Aqsa Haram but after the death of Mohamed El-Dora, more protests broke in university campuses across the country.

It did not stop at the universities because I remember till this day how family friends living in Upper Middle-Class Dokki’s Al-Mesha square witnessed the smallest and youngest protest of school students who went after school “The area hosts several schools” in a very short rally.

The kids used their drawing books as banners.

It did not last long but that protest was significant and showed how this cold-blooded murder affected a whole young generation.

We have not forgotten and this crime reminds us all that there will be no real peace in this region as long as Palestinians are not treated as humans in the first place.

Till this day, the Israeli Defense army has not paid the price for that crime caught in crime but it is not a surprise or shock because the IDF has gone away with war and human crimes for decades.

Till this day, those last minutes in the life of Mohamed El-Dorra were engraved in the minds of millions of Arabs who have not forgotten or forgiven.
