#GazaUnderAttack : Checking Back on what remains from home

And Palestinians decided to check on their houses in Gaza the past 48 hours during the truce that should today if I am not mistaken.
What they found actually was rubble. Their houses have been flattened to the earth thanks to the Israeli war machine . Khuza and Shejaiya are complete destroyed

According to estimations rebuilding Gaza may take another 30 years. The following info-graphs speak about the amount of Palestinian losses in Gaza.

The Israeli government sent a delegation of Israeli officials to Cairo to join the indirect talks with the Palestinian factions yesterday. The Israeli agreed on four demands only from the Palestinian demands and rejected the rest.

RIP Saeed Saleh “1938-2014”

Egypt lost one of its famous smiles and laughter makers last Friday , that laughter maker is Saeed Saleh.
Yes the talented comedian who made laugh madly in his plays passed away after long career full of success , failures , tragedies and politics as well.
So Long Folks "Tantawy Cartoons"
For my generation Saeed Saleh is the star of the two most famous comic plays ever “Madrasat El-Moshagbeen-1973” and “El-Eyal Kebret-1979” which have become our own annual plays to watch in every Eid in a way that it became an annual ritual.
Born in 1938 , Saleh had a golden opportunity in the 1980s after the smashing success of his plays but stumbled thanks to politics as well drugs or to be accurate because of politics.
The left leaning actor starred in the political play “Kaablon” in 1983 and sang songs composed by none other than the famous Sheikh Emam and Ahmed Fouad Nagm.

#GazaUnderAttack : The Palestinian demands are here

Here are the set of demands all the Palestinian factions including Hamas and Fatah agreed to presented to Cairo :

  • The immediate Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and halting their airstrikes.
  • Lifting the economic blockade and opening the border crossings.
  • Securing the entrance of goods, all requirements of reconstruction and freedom of movement.
  • Guaranteeing the existence of a connection between the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
  • Re-opening of the Gaza airport and establishing a seaport.
  • Lifting the Israeli-imposed no-go zone near the Gaza border fence.
  • Ending all punitive measures on the Palestinian people in the West Bank after 12 June 2014, which includes:
  1. Opening institutions and restoring confiscated public and private properties.
  2. Ending aggression against Palestinians by Israeli settlers.
  3. Releasing members of the Palestinian Legislative Council and re-arrested prisoners.
  • Reconstruction of the Gaza Strip through cooperation between the Palestinian unity government and the United Nations and delivery of humanitarian aid to Palestinians including food, water and medicine and the immediate re-opening of power plants.
  • Holding an international donors' conference under the leadership of Norway and joined by European, Arab and Islamic states as well as the United States, Turkey, Japan, Russia, China and the rest of UN member-states.
  • The aim is to provide the needed finances for re-building the strip according to a specific time plan.

These were the demands of Hamas and Jihad since day one despite all the rumors spread in the Egyptian media. Of course the part dealing with the borders crossing with Egypt went down from “Opening the borders permanently with international guarantees”  to “opening the border crossings”

The fact that Fatah supports these demands mean that the Palestinians are truly supporting these demands and when I mean the Palestinians I speak here about both military wings and people in the streets.

Whether you like it or not but unlike other times the military resistance of the Palestinian factions proved itself and it won’t give up after those achievements. On the other hand the Israeli government can not give up either with that support it got from the Knesset or the public support in the street after weeks of mobilization.

The latest news from Cairo that there will be another 72 hours truce starting from tomorrow. It is not confirmed yet especially reporters in Gaza claim that not all factions approve it including members in Hamas. I assume they mean El-Qassam.

Updated :

Sky News Arabia says that Israel and the Palestinian factions agreed on 3 days truce.

The story of Islam Yaken , the Story of good middle class boys gone bad everywhere

And the Egyptian social media universe has nothing to speak about except Islam Yaken , Egypt's latest Social media star.

Mr. Islam Yaken is 23 years young man who comes from a Middle Class family in Cairo and he is currently in Iraq after joining ISIS. He keeps us updated about his adventures in the neo-caliphate on twitter.

Islam Yaken joined the ISIS in Syria and now he is in Iraq taking photos with swords and chopped heads and posting them on Twitter and Instagram making him a Hipster ISIS fighter.

On twitter He tells us that the ISIS will come to Cairo. He says that he joined the ISIS from two years ago to fight in Syria and that he was not a member in the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Nour Party which he considered as infidel institutions. He says that he is doing what the Muslims were doing from 14 centuries.

He is not the first Egyptian to join radical Jihadist groups but his background makes so interesting in the eyes of many especially from his social class.

Islam was educated at Lycée la Liberté Héliopolis and studied law at Ain Shams University. I think he is the most famous graduate from Lycée la Liberté Héliopolis.

#GazaUnderAttack : We have got Another short ceasefire

And the cease fire between Israel and Palestinian resistance lived shortly just like the previous ceasefire. The negotiations in Cairo are cancelled. Israel told Egypt that one of its soldiers were kidnapped in Gaza earlier this morning and Egypt told the Palestinian delegation not to come.
Hamas’ Moussa Abu Marzouk who is currently in Cairo told news agencies that actually the kidnapping of the IDF soldier took place before the cease fire and that Israel was the one actually breached the cease fire and started to shell South Gaza aka Palestinian Rafah madly.
Now it is afternoon in Egypt and according to preliminary estimations not less than 90 Palestinian have been killed in Palestinian Rafah so far. In the few hours of cease fire media and TV reporters began to check places like Khuza to find war crimes in front of their eyes.
We are waiting also the speech of King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia on Saudi TV. According to the official statement the Saudi King will address both the nation and the international community. It is worth to mention that Western media is accusing Saudi Arabia of standing with Israel in this attack against Hamas as part of its regional war against the Muslim Brotherhood.

#GazaUnderAttack : And One terrorist is down !! “Graphic”

Meet Israel’s latest victims from Gaza : Mohamed , a 4 years old boy.
This photo is taken by Bel Trew in Gaza today. The dear friend and colleague who is currently in Gaza saw
Mohamed "By Bel Trew"
him today in the hospital. Mohamed lost his face because of an Israeli missile that hit his home while he was sleeping.
The doctor told Trew that they had to take a skin graft to reconstruct the right side of his face and his left eye has shrapnel lodged in it. Mohamed is blind now.
If I am not mistaken this young boy needs to be transferred abroad to be treated.
Mohamed’s elder brother Ibrahim is in the same hospital too. The 14 years old got wounds to his head, neck, back, groin, leg and arms.
We do not know what happened to Mohamed’s parents. Their house was attacked without any prior warning.
Today the death toll in Gaza increased to 1422. More than 8000 Palestinians have been injured so far. At least 2000 are children who suffer from similar injuries like Mohamed and Ibrahim have got. I do not think those children and families will have warm feelings towards Israel and its army.
According to Chris Gunness , the official UNRWA spokesperson reported that 236,374 Palestinians have been displaced since the start of the Israeli military operation in Mid July.
They are displaced in 86 UNRWA shelters including schools which are bombed and shelled by Israel frequently. Five UNRWA officials were killed in the recent attack.
Gunness made headlines in the Arab media when he appeared crying over what is happening in Gaza on air on Al Jazeera TV channel.

Israel claims that the current war in Gaza is a war of self defense against those awful terrorists who are civilians.
