Osama Saraya : It is An Expressive Photo !!??

Osama Saraya , the chief in editor of Al Ahram  had to defend himself after making his newspaper and more important his president the joke of the world in the past 48 hours.

Saraya has to fire back to save his position before his newspaper or its dignity and so we find him today telling us that this was not the actual , the actual photos from the white house were published in Al Ahram  without editing from 12 days ago but that photo ,that edited photo putting Mubarak in the lead was an expressive photo !! It shows the position of Mubarak in the Palestinian cause !!?

When a fine lady like Sakina Fouad speaks about our wheat crisis insisting that we can grow our own wheat to reach our own self sufficiency , some people call her unrealistic and may go far and call her crazy and liar too , well I dedicate this post to all those people who call Sakina and all those supporting her including me as unrealistic crazy dreamers.

 There was a follow up to Sakina Fouad’s episode where she discussed our wheat crisis attacking our regime. After the first episode we found Gamal Mubarak himself against the idea of self sufficiency along his minister of agriculture whose only experience in agriculture was inheriting a cotton company , Fouad had to fire back and since than no one from the regime’s side has opened his mouth ; after all how they could fire back at documented official experiments in video !!
From 1992 to 1997 the ministries of Agriculture and information incorporation with the apparatus of the grand projects had this very big project as part of the five year plan the government then adopted. That project was funded by the EU with LE 50 million grant and it was used to be called : The guiding developing project for developing the human environment in Egyptian desert or rather project code 30061800 “silly name for important project”
That project and what happened to it was a big X or rather full of Xs !!

The Role is On Palm Hills Now : Way to Go Fakhrany

Here is another popular Fakhrany in Egypt and his name is not Yahia nor he is an actor , he is just a citizen whose first name is Hamdy.
Hamdy Fakhrany was the man behind the historical court rule to annual the Madinaty land sale from the government to TMG breaking down Hisham Talaat Mustafa in jail .

Now his eyes are on Palm Hills Development which bought also one million square meter feet in a shady deal full of irregularities, I wonder if he succeeds this time , considering the big names in PHD starting with the current minister of housing himself and Gamal Mubarak’s father in law.
For the record this year was a tough one for PHD ,first of all they have got the Aswan Amun Island issue which has not been resolved yet with all the negative publicity it generated and second the big blow to their lobby along with other businessmen in North Coast when the president issued the presidential decree to allocate the Dabaa land to Egypt’s first nuclear station.
If all Egyptian citizens were like Hamdy Fakhrany , we would not be suffering like now.
FYI Mr. Fakhrany sued the minister of oil for exporting the gas before and the minister of foreign affairs in the two Egyptian doctors crisis in Saudi Arabia.

Who said that blogs are losing their power in Egypt !!?? We have just started 😉
Up till this moment, Al Ahram is acting as if there were nothing wrong it had done !!

Some Cheerful Good News

I love to highlight promising cheerful news in Egypt as they have become more rare than wheat in the country !!

I found this in Reuters and it gave me a lot of hope that our scientists can still achieve something now in our laboratories , yes in our laboratories and research centers whose budgets are less than 1/4 the budget of Zamalak club. 

I hope that these researchers succeed to apply this on women insh Allah, it will be great breakthrough for both science and Egyptian scientists.

Happy Birthday Dear Agatha

The world is celebrating Agatha Christie’s 120 birthday today including Egypt ,especially Egypt where she lived part of her life and was the place of several of her Novels like for instance : Death on the Nile and my favorite of all times Death comes as the end.
You can't imagine how happy I was when I spent couple of days in Cecil hotel in Alexandria and found out that she was among its distinguish guests. Already when I was in high school and I wished to be like her , a crime novelist and I even started a novel that I have not finished yet ;)
I love Poirot and Miss Marble , I saw almost all the movies and TV series based on her novels and I never get bored from her. 
Dostor today in its weekly issue published a special dossier for our dear Agatha 
Also today Google celebrated the acclaimed author who loved Egypt

Farouk Hosni , our minister of culture who was dying from less than a year ago to become the curator of world cultural heritage had a press conference yesterday where he stated that the Van Gogh painting theft is no big deal !!??
Stealing a painting that is worth hundred of millions of dollars is not a big deal , so what is the big deal for his excellency !!??
Is not Farouk Hosni so called artist and a painter !!?? Should not he be the first one to understand the value of this painting by Van Gogh !??
