Important Book by President Mohamed Naguib in English

I am so so so sorry because in the previous posts I said that I did not find the Autobiography of President Mohamed Naguib in English in Amazon.com , well I was wrong and here is the book under the title

"Egypt's Destiny : A Personal statement by Mohamed Naguib"

here it is and yes I am making an ad for it because it deserves

  1. The French revolution put the king and queen to the guillotine. Later on, therevolutinaries executed eachother. Still French evolution is clebrated as in France as one movement that braught enlightenment to Europe.

The English revolution of crumwell, beheaded king Chrles and put brave English ntionalists to the gallows.

No need to remind you with the Russian revolution or the Iraqi one

The fact that Nasser left Naguib alive, proves that he wa an angel compared to othe revolutionaries

  2. The key measure for any revolution is time. Let us see thhe french revolution: the gap between aristocracy and masses has been filled with bourgeoisie (through education employment and business)..conclusion {POSITIVE}. Now what happened in Egypt the gap is wider, on the top a narrow band of Money laundrers filty rich, arm dealers, and some business ..some statistical error band of professionals in the middle, and on the bottomn is the egyptian mass (any different from before? Nooo. Since "angel Nasser" was reponsible for that he is "hell's angel" ???

  3. By the way, this book was translated to Arabic and published in Egypt around 1997.
It is a good book and it shows how Mohamed Naguib was concerned about Egypt's future and how to overcome the obstacles and face challenges in every aspect

  4. @great arabia:I do not agree with you. The others mistakes are not our success. If all the revolutionaries all over the world have killed each other, still wrong, still does not justify the huge mistakes done.

    @Zienobia:
Her is something that you are getting almost every day, but you deserve more of: Feedback
You are doing a great job!!
You are an inspiration for many, not only in Egypt but also all over the world
    God bles
    You are worth it

  5. @great Arabia, I am sorry but Mohamed Naguib can not be compared to the French or the Russain monarches , I am sorry he is a part of the Revolution ,its leader , again ,if you read my two parts , you will know that Naguib risked his life when he joined the free officers

what happened in Iraq , France and Russia is not the right thing and it is not excuse

we should not justify our wrong acts by saying those did more

@Anonymous 1 ,I got what you say and unfortunately there is socail justice had been achieved ,even in the time of Nasser the top society were the officers , just like in Russia

@Dr. Yasser, seriously from reading to this man I think more and more we are in front of an example that can not be repeated easily , the example of a civilian in a Suite with a vision , in the whole world now even in the United States you can not find a general with such civilian ideas easily

@anonymous, you replied to Arabia better than me and thanks for the feedback it is an honor

  6. @anonymous: your argument includes an unjustified leap in time. You totally overlook the fact that Nasser's social revolution was faught hard by colonialism and Saudi Arabia which culminated in the 1967 defeat. Hadn't it been for the revolution's promising prospects, that would not have been the case.

It would be worth mentioning hre to mention that report number 867 of the world bank issued in 1986 stated the anmount of development Egypt witnessd from 1956 to 1967 was 4 times higher than that achieved in the 40 years prior to 1952.

The social mobility achieved in the sixties was unprecedented in modern Egyptian history.

The revolution died in 1970 when Sadat deliberately erased all th Nasserite achievments, and created the worst ruling elite in the 7000 years of Egyptian history- a confederation of structurally corrupt business and filthy hypocrytical statesmen .

The US-Israel interests go along perfectly well with that confideration which has kept Egypt down, castrated its middle class, demoralised the country and cracked down on the Arab nationalistc discourse which held the seeds of a prosperous independent Arab world super power- A perfect cultutral and normative formulae that would shield ou vakue systm against wahabi and Iranian retardment while it preserves a free natinal will.

Zeinobia: the French revolutionaries excecuted each other not just th roylists- I think I mentioned that in my previous comment

  7. @great Arabia , wait a minute here , please do not tell me that the revolution died because Anwar El-Sadaat ,I am sorry the revolution died when we found ourselves worshiping a president
I am sorry in 1971 Anwar El-Sadaat libterated Egypt from the gang who used to steal and imprison people and do not let me speak about history because I got lots of stories more than you can imagine
Sadaat ,Sadaat ,Sadaat, the man really kills you

ABout the french revolution this is not an accuse , where are the morals , where is the humanity ??? this is not an accuse

  8. @ Moral values and ethical codes are not absolute systems. For example, it is not considered immporal in some cuntries for a teenage girl to shag 5 different guys in a month. On the contrary,It is percieved as some sort of teenage adventurism that is a msut be a part a mature oman's experience. No ned to mention of course, how such attidude would be percieved in an ARAB country like Tunisia, Egypt or Iraq

    1. of course a lot of arab women do exactly the same thing you mentioned, shagging many men, for a bit of money and gifts on the side, as i know. they just act like they dont, in public.

  9. In response to great Arabia;
Naguib was the most educated and cultured among the RCC. He understood the complexity of governing and the need to leave it to civil trained educated and skilled authority. The army should go back to base and monitor progress- Like the model Kamal Attaturk introduced in Turkey. Of course this vision violated Nasser and the young RCC army team ambitions and greed.
Let us see what the ‘angel’ Nasser did: He ousted Naguib, nationalized Suez Canal (not bad so far) but was he prepared to meet the consequences? –No- he almost lost the country in 1956 and opened the door for Russia with no plan – They helped him to build the Asswan dam (against environmentalist objections) with no plan to build power network when the dam was finished (vision or blindness??). Now Russia had its foot (and more) in Egypt- Sorry in Africa

Nasser took agricultural lands from owners to distribute to farmers (with no plan how they are going to use it)- agriculture in Egypt went down the drain since –he could have introduced taxes on owners to support farmers basic needs and training instead (vision or blindness??)- He nationalized business and put army officers (with education slightly above high school) in charge of Petrochemical companies and the like – of course within 2 years business and industry went down the drain (vision or blindess?)

Nasser thought he is building a strong army –between 1961-1966 he acquired relatively sophisticated weapons from Russia and placed them in the hand of uneducated untrained soldiers (Nasser &Amer deliberately kept university graduates out of the army to avoid threats)- And he escalated the conflict with Israel- Then 1967- ??? After that he claimed of being not aware of the army state preparedness (vision or blindness??)

I could go on and on and the answer will always be –He was blind, and arrogant to notice it-

  10. @Great Arabia ,I don't know what exactly you are defending , it is no excuse ,is treating an old man like shit is a good thing for you and justified as long as Nasser did it ??
for God Sake man , it is not only an old man but a great man
imprison him in a villa ,erase his name from history
did you read carefully what I wrote in the past two days ??
I am sorry but may I dare and ask what Egypt gained from this ill treatment General Naguib suffered from ??

  11. anonymous: it is clear that you have no Idea about what you are talking about.

Russians needed Nasser to gain a foothold in africa!!!!!!!?????

Africa is open for everyone eversince man has evolved on the planet.

English, French - Arabs slave trade and racism....etc Russians had their stronghold over there through comunist african states. All of those peoples had their fair share in expoiting Africa

Égypt is the key to the Arab world- that was Nasser's strategic importance to them.

If you fail to grasp that point which any primary school child knows by heart, then your critique of Nasserism would be automatically discredited

  12. Forgive me Zenobia if this dialogue became so long.
Great Arabia: I didn’t say Nasser had the keys to Africa. He was just a “brainwashing machine” a model suitable for the Arab world, North Africa, and with slight modification every other African nation candidate (Idi Amin followed his footsteps). Givara was the brainwashing machine for Latin America, Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam and surrounding Asian countries. Look today at the country/region each of these brainwashing machines strived –What’s the score??? Of course disastrous results in each one-
