The Egyptian Orthodox Church and the second article in the constitution

The Second article in the Egyptian Constitution says :

Islam is the official religion of the Egyptian States and The Sharia is the primary source for legalization

This chapter some seculars and some Egyptian Christians inside and outside want to cancel as they see it is an obstacle against the Citizenship concept and it is one of the reason of the so-called "Oppression" of Christians and Now Baha'is in Egypt and thus it should be canceled despite the fact that the majority the Egyptian people don't want any one to tough it.

Despite all what is said I don't think that the Egyptian Orthodox Church wants really the cancellation of this article ,yes it seems strange but many ignore some important facts that the Egyptian Orthodox Church needs this article

You see according to the Islamic Sharia which is the primary source of legalization in Egyptian The People who are not Muslims treated in their personal issues according to their religions , to put it in Simple way as I think I didn't succeed in describing it now , The Muslims have their personal issue laws about the divorce and inheritance and so on , while the non-Muslims in those issues they must return back to their religions and laws in these religions

If you cancel this article , the Orthodox Church may find itself in front of a new threat in personal issue laws especially the Divorce , in the Orthodox Church there is no divorce ,it is for eternity .

If we don't have that article, we will have what is called "Civil laws"

Already to speak for truth , the majority of Egyptian People ,the Muslim people will refuse anyone to touch it , because we are religious people in the end ,since the days of the ancient Egyptians we are putting religion in a holy status

You know it is silly because despite all the what is said that it is for democracy to change that article and so on ,they forget the principle of Democracy that the majority rules

Another thing and it is related to the Egyptian people I don't know how they expected that article to change already , I don't know because you usually and it is expected any change in the constitution,there must be a public poll about it , and thus in that article specifically the people will refuse any change to it , the result is known in advance ,a complete rejection ,in fact I predict that it will be the highest poll from attendance

There is another thing , the continuing talk about that article can create a distrust relation between the Muslims and Christians in Egypt
