The outrage of the video is something natural but it is not enough , you do not expect people to admire grown men regardless of who they are and what they do when they drag pregnant women in the street with no mercy what so ever. I am not surprised that Sarko has not commented on this because we all know his bloody record when it comes to immigrants
The illegal immigration will not solved in this way I am afraid.
Amazingly you will find comments defending the police acts and blame the pregnant women.
This is France not Egypt with its anti-riots soldiers , this is France whose government speaks about human rights in other countries when it wants to.
I can't understand how those officers are dragging pregnant woman like that as if she were an animal , in fact less than an animal !!
I am afraid the Egyptian police might use this video as an excuse for torturing people. As in "See, it even happens in France. Why should we be singled out?"
ReplyDeleteZeinobia, what were the cops supposed to do? The crowd was disobeying instructions to disperse. The "racist" cops as you call them (some of them black as you can plainly see at 3:23) didn't hit anyone. This is why "racism" charges are becoming a bore. The cops just pulled on individuals to disentangle them from the unruly crowd. The pregnant woman was resisting. Don't blame the cops, blame her.
ReplyDeleteThe woman who thought bringing a baby to this kind of protest was a good idea should have her child taken away and put in protective custody.
What would you have done differently if you were one of those cops?
why dont we see how you'll like it if you ge tpulled like that...that is no way to treat or handle a lady
DeleteFrench police were clearing illegally occupied building. Illegal residents were resisting, but police even did not use weapons, just hands => "Police Brutality And Racism in France"
ReplyDeleteWhat about Arab/Black members of peace religion attacking french police? => no racism, victims were whites
What about black members of religion of peace, attacking a girl, celebrating it with all friends on facebook? => no racism, the girl was white
What about few blacks (leader was son of an Egyptian
newspaper correspondent) members of religion of peace publicly torturing a jew to death? => no racism, jews deserve to die for tree cutting
In most European states Muslims (black, arab and berber) immigrants are heavily over-represented in jails and criminal records. Sorry for having racist police, judges, state's attorneys and presidents.
PS: some policemen happened to be black, so now we have here black black haters 8)
@Z: I dnt see any racism there. As far as I know the rule is not to touch the police and not to resist them when they attempt to move you and you can clearly see some of them hitting the officers. I also personally dnt understand why would a mother put her unborn baby or child in such a situation. What I find interesting is whether the reason the camera is moving downwards at the end is bec an officer is ordering it to be turned off. Having said that Sarko (Mubarak's BF :D) is a racist idiot, no secret about that but that video is irrelevant to this point.
ReplyDelete@Gamal: I dnt think they care to explain or find excuses any more.
And guys lets be serious, our police is far more brutal and I enjoy it every time they get to hear it from the West they care so much for even if the West doesnt have a perfect record.
Z
ReplyDeleteYour site incites hatred instead of thought analysis and solutions. Maybe you should try a different approach.
Jason I have more brown Poutine for you.
The Canadian.
@Zeinobia, I wasn't asking a rhetorical question. I really want to know if you were one of the cops, what you would do differently. Because to me their behavior was restrained and exemplary.
ReplyDelete@Canadian, So you'd invite the intransigent illegal squatters to a mutually-respectful round-table discussion of thoughtful analysis and solutions; thanks for telling us.
very disgusting.
ReplyDeleteand those comments defending police brutality are even more, as they show how far fascism is advancing, everywhere.
the talk about 'illegality' of someones life reminds me with a recent talk with a pathetic Hasbara peddler defending Israeli right to displace thousands of Negev Bedouins from their homes because they are illegally living according to the young state's maps and rule.
fascists don't value other's lives, as long as they are 'others', nothing is new here.
of course your blog incites hatred, as long as truth doesn't fit with the commentator likeness.
btw, i am NOT sorry for your guests, i am sorry for you if you felt the bitter that i feel by reading these scum.
Zeinobia, I'll tell you what's racist: Egyptian police beating African migrants (most of them Muslim btw), throwing them in jail for no reason and shooting them (men, women and children) in the back while they are trying to flee Egypt to Israel.
ReplyDelete@Jason
ReplyDeleteWho said anything about 'invite the intransigent illegal squatters to a mutually-respectful round-table discussion of thoughtful analysis...'
Are you putting words in my mouth? If I need your opinion, I'll give it to you!
Besides, why are you interested in Middle Eastern problems when you have oodles of political problems, scandals, corruption, national deficit (China owns you), recession, unemployment and plenty of other sh@& in your own American backyard you may help solve with your thoughtful analysis.
I follow US national and regional news daily and can gladly list the all the dirt for you in case you have a short memory.
The Canadian.
What happened in Mustafa Mahmoud square was worse and the Sudanese will never forget it.
ReplyDelete@Idiot Israeli: And its not racist when you take the villages, farms, cities and resources of others and take the lives of those among them who dare to protest?!!!
ReplyDeleteEgypt sadly is protecting the borders of your illegal entity. A practice that wont last once your friend in Egypt is out of the pic.
Also, since you like to vent your venom as usual, its well known that for the majority of Egyptians we did not approve, encouraged what happened to them and those who were trying to help them with food, water ect were dealt with by the security and those who posted outcries for what happened were Egyptian activists and reporters.
@Africanist: i also hope you do not forget what your own forces has done against your own ppl, what pushed these Sudanese outside of their country in the first place? and do you think the way our police treated them was different from how they deal with us?!!! So, sad to see you falling for the venom of the Israeli idiot.
Sorry Z, you are way off on your analysis. The police are simply pulling people apart and removing them from a place they shouldn't be. They don't use violence or weapons; they are very restrained. This gives a positive portrait of France. Why do you want to give illegal immigrants special rights to take over public space?
ReplyDeleteIt's really entertaining reading all this commenting. Has anyone thought how a situation like this would be dealt with elsewhere... the US maybe. Would ANY pregnant woman in the US be dragged this way even if she was a murderer?
ReplyDeleteAll the above comments show nothing but one thing, if Zeinobia's blog is inciting hatred, it is definitely working and people ARE in fact hating. It is funny that it is working even though many have acknowledged that it incites hatred.
On a final note, when the definitions of human rights are continuously restricted (particularly by people who argue for limitless human rights at times), it is when human rights are actually NOT respected, but are rather used as a cover-up to justify interests.
@Khaled Khalil,
ReplyDelete"those comments defending police brutality are even more, as they show how far fascism is advancing"
Um... nobody defended police brutality. Some people correctly pointed out that no brutality occurred, which is entirely a different thing. Tell us how you would have handled it you were one of the cops. Put up or shut up, crybaby.
@Raghda Salama,
"Would ANY pregnant woman in the US be dragged this way even if she was a murderer?"
Of course. Any person refusing to cease any openly-engaged-in criminal activity will be physically forced to cease, by any police force, in any country. The French police were unusually gentle.
So tell us, Raghda, what would you have done differently if you were one of the cops? Nobody wants to answer the question, obviously. LOL

Nothing that any Egyptian does can be wrong or racist.
Not Amr Adib's billious insults to Sudan and the Sudanese in light of Egypt's loss to Algeria in the final World Cup qualifying match Sudan.
And blackface is racist all over the world apart from in Egypt...
Civil conflict and in certain cases the prospect of immigration to an economically more prosperous country forced them to leave - many of them were South Sudanese and South Sudan has been at 'peace' since 2003 - a good couple of years 'before' the massacre.
People who were interviewed in Muhandiseen described the Sudanese refugees as mutwa7isheen (feral) carrying diseases, AIDS, drunkards having sex in public...
That's racist.
Palestinian refugees would not be described in those terms by any Egyptian.
And it's insulting to me intelligence to suggest that I'm 'falling' for any kind of 'Israeli' venom.
You obviously don't know anything about Sudan.
The memory of those who were brutalised and forcibly removed, including children and old women is etched in the collective Sudanese memory.
Good luck trying to garner the goodwill of the Southern Sudanese.
They won't construct the Jonglei Canal to benefit Egypt, partly because of that incident.
Jason, no I would not have done the same. I would never drag anyone for any reason. I hope this answers your question. Not every one promotes violence over anything else. Not yet!
ReplyDeleteExternalising and Middle-Easternising issues to involve Israelis in Egyptian-Sudanese and Nile Basin affairs is lame outdated and obsolete.
ReplyDeleteThe Egyptian economy is a beneficiary of your peace with Israel - don't bite the hand that feeds you.
@Raghda, No it doesn't answer my question. I asked what you would do if you were one of the cops. You told me what you wouldn't do. D'oh! So I ask again: What would you have done if you were one of the cops? ROTFLMAO
ReplyDelete@Zol "The Egyptian economy is a beneficiary of your peace with Israel - don't bite the hand that feeds you." Good point. Also, Egypt gets billions in economic and military aid from Western countries, mostly the US. That will dry up if Egypt renounces the peace treaty with Israel. If there's another war, say goodbye to those tourist dollars as well.
Respectful Jason,
ReplyDeleteWhat I would do, whether "I" refers to the police or the government, is give these peoples incentives to leave? Other possible options that don't involve the violence that you proudly accept are fines, being taken to court, etc.
I hope this answer the questions that's making you "ROFLMAO". Wishing you more "ROFLMAO"ing.
@Raghda Salama, Thank you for answering. "I" referred to you as an individual police officer on the scene depicted in the video. I can't imagine what "incentives to leave" you could offer. Ice cream? They were plainly refusing to leave, and using physical force to refuse. If people physically resist police instructions, police physically impose their will. How would you have taken them to court, as you suggested, without dragging them? You think asking them to please go the the courtroom and pay a fine would have been a successful tactic? Of course you don't. This is your hypocrisy exposed. You are only pretending that gentle dragging is violence that must be opposed. You are two-faced. What you actually oppose is the right of the French to have their laws obeyed. That is why the only actions as a cop in that circumstance that you pretend you could countenance are hilariously ineffective.
ReplyDeletehahaha Jason, that Canadian guy totally PWNED you=D!!
ReplyDelete@Anonymous, No Canadian has ever pwned any American.
