Egypt is still scoring medals in the Tokyo Paralympics.
Earlier Thursday Egypt’s Mohamed El-Zayat scored the silver medal after losing the men's K44 under-61-kilogram in the ParaTaekwondo to Brazil’s Nathan Cesar Sodario Torquato.

I wish El-Zayat a speedy recovery inshallah.
This is the first time ParaTaekwondo is played in the Paralympics from what I understood, thus El-Zayat is its first silver medal champion.
The final #Gold of the day in #ParaTaekwondo goes to #BRA and Nathan Cesar Sodario Torquato#Silver goes to Mohamed Elzayat #EGY #Tokyo2020 #Paralympics

This is the first Olympic medal for El-Zayat, it is also Egypt’s first in ParaTaekwondo
This is our fifth silver medal in these Paralympics.
It is also the seventh medal we got in this Paralympics edition in Tokyo.
Unfortunately, again there is no enough media attention for this new medal or this young champion. He is the youngest medal in our Paralympic team and yet there has not been enough coverage for his achievement.
Already our champions who won medals earlier returned back to Cairo and got very shy reception.
Egypt rocks in Taekwondo and we got champions in both the Olympics and Paralympics despite all the odds and despite the stupid bureaucracy of the Taekwondo Federation like any sports Federation in the country.
