Choose Another Day to show your love to Egypt !!

A group of Israeli youth decided to show its love to Egypt and are going to have a rally , a love and peace rally at our embassy in Tel Aviv.

Here is the Facebook event page. They choose this Friday , September 16th as a date for this rally and if I may say this is the stupid date chosen for such event. Why is that !? Well September 16th is the anniversary for the horrible Sabra and Shatila massacre !!

Seems that The embassy will no be longer in the building

News reports claim that the Israelis are now thinking of transferring in the Israeli embassy from Giza to somewhere else and they are searching for a new location in Cairo that is safe enough from all these protests. Some hint that the next location will be in Maadi just like the Israeli ambassador’s residence.
The governor of Giza Ali Abdel Rahman has already told Kuwaiti Annahar that the Israeli embassy’s current location in Giza is a burden for the governorate and its security. The governor revealed that he will request the transfer of the embassy in the nearest opportunity. I think the nearest opportunity is very near indeed.

Erdogan in Cairo : Day “3” is as busy as Day “2”

Erdogan third day was busy one as his 2nd day in Cairo mash Allah , the man has met everybody except may be Mubarak and the icons of his regime !!
Today the Turkish prime minister met four potential presidential candidates “ ElBaradei , Abu El Fatouh , Moussa and Sabhi”. He also met with Pope Shnouda III at the Cathedral as well a delegation from the Muslim brotherhood. He signed more agreements with Essam Sharaf and addressed bunch of Egyptian businessmen at the Egyptian Turkish Economic forum before heading to re-inaugurating the Turkish Culture Center “Yunus Emre” in Cairo. During the re-inauguration of the Turkish culture center in Dokki , Erdogan addressed the Egyptian youth members of “UFUQ” and I was lucky to attend the speech.

And the man from Istanbul came to visit Cairo for the first time since the revolution of January 25 and ousting of Mubarak. Turkey has been in the minds of the Egyptians for months now especially with the talk of Turkish scenario , the admiration of the Islamists with the AKP’s experience and last but not least the Turkish reaction from Mavi Marama.

Erdogan is now the hero of the Egyptian street especially we are suffering now with the absence of national hero in Egypt , for 30 years we were ruled by a man with no popularity or charisma unlike Nasser or Sadat. Call them fools ,idiots .. whatever but Erdogan is popular in the Egyptian street and it has nothing to do with the Islamists more than his position from Israel and the change in Turkey’s position under the AKP.

Again before you mock the Egyptian street or disrespect it remember that this is the street that brought down Mubarak and that is not fully represented on twitter.

Mubarak’s trial : Omar Soliman in Da Court !!

Former Vice President Omar Soliman has finished testifying in the Mubarak’s trial at New Cairo. Soliman testified in a secret session , it is the seventh session according to the fact that Anan’s session along with Tantawy’s were adjourned to 25th and 24th of September.
Mubarak’s supporters claim that Soliman testimony was in favor of Mubarak which would be realistic. Of course if Soliman testifies in favor of Mubarak he can say bye bye to the presidential race.
We will see.
According to a survey held by the cabinet 67% of the voters support the Mubarak’s trial while 13% are against it and 20% of the voters abstained. In another survey 69% of the voters criticized the slowness of the  trials.
There have been clashes between the Mubarak supporters who suddenly reappeared again and the families of the martyrs.
We are waiting for leaks already , trusted leaks before anything.
The session is suspended when it is back , Soliman will be asked by lawyers after the recess.
Now tweep Donia Abaza claims to have SMS from the trial which is some how strange considering the fact that there are extremely security measures.
Allegedly Soliman was asked if the police and CSF had orders to shoot down protesters and the former spy chief answered according to his knowledge the security forces did not have orders
He was also allegedly asked if the GIS had any information if the security forces assigned to protect the protests were supplied with live ammunition and he allegedly answer that GIS has no information because it is from its job !!!!!!!!!!!!
There is a rumor that Soliman claimed that Tantawy supplied the CSF with live ammunition after the refusal of the army to attack the protesters
If he truly said this , I can expect that Tantawy and Anan will testify against him and Mubarak.
Anyhow Mohamed Abdel Aziz , the lawyer who attended the session tweeted in the recess that Soliman was not a prosecution witness or defendant witness. I am not also surprised.

Flag Diplomacy : Where is our flag in Sarajevo ?

Ok not only the Egyptian ambassador in Tel Aviv needs to be recalled but also the Egyptian ambassador in Sarajevo Karim Sharaf needs to be recalled to Cairo so can be questioned on why he took down the Egyptian flag from the top of our embassy in Sarajevo.

The Egyptian community in Sarajevo says that he ordered the flag to be downed because he is objecting the Mubarak’s trial !!? Is his excellency from Mubarak’s sons or what !?
I hope somebody raises this topic in the mainstream media.
P.S Should not these wonderful citizens who are protesting the absence of our Egyptian flag be granted the right to vote abroad !?
