Ramadan Arabian Nights 2021 : Tale of King Mahorab “The Three princes’ Test” Ep.24

Here we are on the 24th night of our Radio Arabian Nights this year.
We will continue our tale for this year, the tale of King Mahorab
First of all, You can refresh your mind with what happened last night here.

It is the 24th episode in our tale and the 546th night of our Egyptian Radio show.

Mahorab has got three princes now : Yakut ,Firoz and Zumarad.

They are grown-up young men who are taught well.

One day, Mahorab summons them in order to ask them certain questions per the order of the Grand Priest.

The young brother Zumarad aka Emerald shows up first.

The King asks his youngest whether he knows the meaning of his name and the young prince tells him eloquently it has to do with the greenery and life.

The King asks about Shams El-Nahr, the daughter of his late Vizier whom he turned in love with and the young prince does not deny.

Then the King tells him then he wants to avoid what happens to his brothers and thus he is thinking of giving up the throne in his life.

“What do you think if I abdicate to someone like you !? He asks Zumarad.

The Young prince tells that he will always obey him but he thinks his older brother Firoz and his eldest brother Yakut got a better experience than him.

The Youngest son declines his dad’s offer and thus he is ordered to leave the court.

Thus comes the turn of Prince Firoz.

King Mahorab asks him about the meaning of his name and the young prince answers eloquently it has to with blueness and wisdom.

Then the King tells him then he wants to avoid what happens to his brothers and thus he is thinking of giving up the throne in his life.

“What do you think if I abdicate to someone like you !? He asks Firoz.

The Young prince tells that he will always obey him but he thinks his eldest brother Yakut got a better experience than him.

The middle son declines his dad’s offer and thus he is ordered to leave the court.

Thus comes the turn of Prince Yakut.

King Mahorab asks him about the meaning of his name and the young prince answers eloquently it has to with redness and strength.

“What do you think if I abdicate to someone like you !? He asks Yakut.

And the eldest son declines his dad’s offer and thus he is ordered to leave the court.

Mahorab summons the three young men to court for a meeting together.

He orders them to leave the Kingdom for one year with nothing except a purse of money, a sword and a horse.

“Go and search for your fate,” He tells his sons without revealing that it was per the Great Priest’s recommendations.

In the desert, the three princes believe that they are lost and going into an endless circle ending up at the same single tree when suddenly a man appears near it and tells them they have to take each road separately if they do not want to go in a circle.

They have got three roads in front of them: The Safety road, the remorse road and the road that you take and never come back.

They drew straws and Yakut gets the safety road while Firoz gets the remorse road whereas Zumarad gets the road you take and never come back.

Each goes in his way after agreeing to meet up in this place.

Trivia :

“The Safety road, the remorse road and the road that you take and never come back” is a common term in Egyptian Culture to describe hard moral life choices.

Inshallah tomorrow night  we will know what happens to the three princes
