Black Sunday : And SCAF spoke at last "Updated"

SCAF hold an international press conference today , all TV networks and reporters were invited to this press conference in order to clarify what happened last Sunday from their side.
SCAF knows it is in deep trouble , really deep trouble and it needs to get out of it for the sake of the army yet amazingly they did not get out this trouble with this presser if they did not go deeper and deeper.
Today we were introduced to another member in SCAF : Major General Adel Amara , I do not know anything about him except that the minister of defense’s aide. It is not the first time he appears in the media as he spoke before in a public conference in North Sinai with the locals there. 
Major General Mohamed Hegazy accompanied Amara in the press conference. Hegazy is considered from the moderate voices in SCAF when it comes to media compared for instance to Mamdouh Shahin , still he was not that moderate in the press conference despite his introduction.
The introduction of the Hegazy was quite impressive on how every human in Egypt is considered an Egyptian regardless of his religion or  race or gender and the armed forces are owned by the Egyptian people and are from the Egyptian people. Amara also hinted to the fact all army officers learn in the war school that the first martyr from the armed forces in the October 1973 war is Shafik Matri. I forgot to say that they expressed their condolences to the martyrs and the injured at the beginning of the press conference.
It was nice start but introduction was something and the core of the subject is another thing.

Rasha Magdy is not Magdy Raskh’s daughter

There were strong rumors that took the social networks by storm in Egypt yesterday that Egyptian Anchorwoman Rasha Magdy were the daughter of Magdy Raskh , Alaa Mubarak’s father in law.

Well Rasha Magdy is not the sister of Heidi Raskh ,I am sure of this because Magdy Raskh got two daughter : Heidi and Dina. I am sure of this because my grandma’s late cousin used to know Rasha Magdy’s mom and I am sure of this because Rasha Magdy used to live in Kuwait for years.

For God sake will the daughter of one Egypt’s richest man work in the Egyptian TV !?

Now for those who do not know who is Rasha Magdy and why she is being bullied online as people are sharing her Facebook account and mobile phone number , Magdy is a National TV/News sector anchorwoman whom is being accused of inciting hatred towards Egyptian Christians with the coverage she presented during Black Sunday on National TV.

The 1027 Prisoner Deal is sealed at last in Cairo "Updated"

Israeli media has just announced that Hamas and Israeli government reached to an agreement about Galid Shalit after 64 months of his capture and negotiations.
The good news of the day that Hamas and Israeli government reached to deal in Cairo , yes Cairo. Just from few hours Israeli Government has approved the deal between Hamas and Israeli administration that was reached in Cairo thanks to Egyptian and German Governments for meditation and concluding the deal.
Last Sunday Ahmed Jabari as representative of Hamas , David Meidan as a representative of Netanyahu and Mawfi “our current spy chief” signed the deal.  
Galid will hopefully be exchanged with 1027 Palestinian prisoners and it include the all women prisoners “27” ,the Jerusalem prisoners “30”, Palestinians 48“6”as well as prisoners with 25 years jail sentence. This is the biggest swap of its kind , 1 for 1000 Palestinian. Just after the Israelis announced it in Tel Aviv , we got Khaled Mashal speaking on air about the deal in Damascus , I wonder what the mad El Assad brothers think now.

How Does Maged Boules Feel now !?

I wonder how Captain Maged Boules feels now when he saw what happened last Sunday at Maspero !?

How do Christian officers and soldiers feel now when they see the army they serving and ready to do for killing other Christians like that !?

What do they suppose to do ?

What if their relatives and friends were injured or killed last Sunday !?

I wonder what General Fouad Aziz would think if he were alive and saw what happened !?

I once read that during the October 6th war there was that commander who used Holy Quran and holy Bible verses to raise the real morale of his battle whether in preparation of war or during the battle , how many commanders do we have now with such mentality !?

Respect to El Beblawi "Updated"

Dr. Hazem El Beblawi has resigned from his position as the minister of finance to object the Maspero Black Sunday clashes and how the government dealt with it.
According to sources El Beblawi is going to submit his resignation to PM Sharaf after the later’s meeting with the Sudanese Vice president. People are expecting SCAF will not accept the resignation.
Some sources have revealed that the Egyptian Social Democratic Party was behind the resignation as El Beblawi was a member in the party whose members urged him to resign after Black Sunday events
Of course some people are attacking the man and his action because of economic policies , well I do not care about that about his economic policies now because we have got an admiring action. For the first time a minister resigns because of the actions of the government in the history of Egypt
By the way I hope that minister Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour of tourism presents his resignation as well.
Do not ask me about Essam Sharaf.
Update :
Ok it is official , he presented his resignation to Sharaf and Sharaf presented to Tantawy. As expected Sharaf has rejected the resignation. According to Al Ahram "Arabic portal" Tantawy had a meeting with Beblawi for half an hour where he convinced him to continue in his post as "We are all soldiers in one army" !!
Now interestingly enough Al Ahram is giving hints that the resignation has to do with the pensions issues raised by the minister of manpower Ahmed El Borai who claimed that billions of pounds allocated to pensions were transferred to the general budget.
We do not know yet if El Beblawi will insist on his resignation or not
Now the big thing is not Beblawi's resignation but the rumors about Sharaf and the cabinet's resignation. For three hours this afternoon there has been rumor that spread like wild fire through news websites , Al Jazeera and AP reported that Sharaf and the rest of the cabinet have resigned , that rumor was denied.
Still there is something missing because Sharaf stated from couple of hours ago that indeed he submitted his resignation to SCAF and it is up to the council to accept it or refuse it !! The cabinet's spokesperson Mohamed Hegazy then says "It is usual procedure in similar circumstances" and that the cabinet presents its resignation whenever there is a crisis in the country !!
Now there are strong rumors that the runner ups for the position of the prime minister are : Mohamed ElBaradei and former PM Kamal El Gaznoury.
These are still rumors. Dr. Mohamed ElBaradei returned from London today after the Black Sunday. 

Muslim Brotherhood wants Maikel Nabil Free

This is more than Surprising but the Muslim brotherhood has just issued a statement in solidarity with Maikel Nabil , yes the Muslim brotherhood despite their views about Nabil is supporting him. Here is the English statement from Muslim brotherhood.
Whether is a political maneuver to impress the west or not , I think it is an important support. For the record the English statement was published but thanks for my dear friend Bassem Sabry who was persistent enough that we got a statement in Arabic.  
Maikal Nabil’s appeal will be today Tuesday as far as I know , hopefully the appeal will be accepted and he will be released.
Maikel Nabil’s father met the head of Military judiciary authority last week and according to what I understood he signed some sort of an apology. Of course I beg you not to speak from ivory tower and wonder how dare Maikel’s father did this because you do not know how it feels to see your son dying in front of your eyes.

#Black Sunday : When Egyptian TV calls for civil war !!

On February 12th ,2011 the Egyptian National statement issued a statement regarding its misleading Pro-Mubarak regime coverage during the early days of regime claiming it was out of the TV and radio employees’ hands who were just doing what they were ordered to do. The statement promised Egyptian a new beginning after the revolution where the TV and radio union will the Egyptian people’s TV and radio.
Of course this was only a broken promise from a state TV that can not follow anyone except whoever rules Egypt whether it is one man or bunch of men !!
Yesterday the Egyptian TV hit a new low when it claimed that the Christian protesters were attacking the military police killing from them at least 3 conscript. It entered the world record for shameful lies when it urged the Egyptian civilian citizens to go and to protect as well as support the Egyptian army against those angry protesters !!
